- DescriptionEgyptian pottery pilgrim flask ( pink/buff pottery) featuring an Egyptian martyr of the Christian Church called St. Menas. On both sides St. Menas is shown in relief decoration with his arms raised in benediction and a camel on either side of him. These flasks were used for holding oil blessed in connection with the Saint. Dated from AD 400-600.
