Description
Pottery sherd with red/brown exterior and interior, black in cross-section. Decorated with zone of black 'duck'-stamp motifs running horizontally, probably just below the rim. Identified as Malvernian B1 fabric, oolitic with shell (ID by E. Morris), dating to the Iron Age. From a settlement site called King's Beeches on Cleeve Hill, Southam parish, Gloucestershire. Excavated by J.W. Gray and G.W.S. Brewer in 1903-04.
