From the original illustrations in the Scott Polar Research Institute, Cambridge; edited by Brian Roberts. Covers the Discovery Expedition, 1901-1904 and the Terra Nova Expedition, 1910-1912. First published in 1967 by Blandford Press Ltd, London; has an illustrated dustjacket. Contains 191 pages, with more than 300 drawings and paintings by EAW (with 60 colour pages and 42 monochrome pages), and a photograph, by Herbert Ponting, of EAW standing outside the Hut, during the Terra Nova Expedition. Price 5 gns. The royalties were to be used to fund field-work in polar regions (Wilson memorial grants) and work at SPRI. Newspaper cutting is from The Daily Telegraph; magazine cutting is from an unidentified publication, but is inscribed 'SPRING 1987'.
