A black and white photographic print of Dr Edward Wilson in the antarctic, taken in 1912 by Herbert G. Ponting. The subject is shown standing with hands on hips in front of a hut entrance, with boxes of provisions stacked on the left hand side of the photograph. The photograph was published as one of a 24 part collection by The Paul Popper Photographic Agency, 14-18 High Holborn, London, W.C.1 in about 1950.

The paper label states that this photograph of Dr Wilson is a genuine photographic print made direct from the original negative taken by H.G. Ponting during capt. Scott's Expedition to the South Pole, together with the name and address of the agency. The ink stamp carries a copyright notice.
