Description
One chair from a set of six chairs, English oak, one seat still covered in the original brown calf, the others in leatherette. Made for Mrs M Edge. Sidney Barnsley did not make chairs and usually sent any requests for chairs to Gimson's workshop. After Gimson's death, Barnsley continued this arrangement with Waals, and it seems that when Mrs Edge ordered her table and sideboard Barnsley arranged for Waals to provide the chairs. They cost £36.10.0
