Description
Round dish of silver with a wirework handle set with a cabochon cut amazonite designed by C R Ashbee and made by the Guild of Handicraft. Such items were usually described in Guild catalogues as 'jam or butter dish'. Ashbee made the original design but the Guildsmen were encouraged to add their own variations, so in the many versions of this dish there are always differences in the curve of the handle and the choice of stone and setting.
