Silver decorative crocodile with gaping mouth and curved tail. Body cast in a one-piece mould, possibly using cuttle-fish shell, the legs brazed on afterwards. The register states it is the work of Asante goldsmiths, from Asante Region (Ghana). Collection of Capt Robert Powley Wild.
