- BeschreibungA polished stone implement, shaped like a parallelogram. The cutting edge is smooth and quite sharp, however the butt end is rough and unworked. The stone, which is very dark green, almost black with paler areas, has been identified as nephrite. The axehead was found at Charlton Kings, near Cheltenham, but it seems likely to be a foreign object brought to this country in fairly recent times.
