Beschreibung
A neolithic polished stone axehead, found in the garden of Church Cottage, Oxenton, Gloucestershire. Rounded, asymmetrical cutting edge; and straight sides that taper in slightly to a rounded butt end. The cross-section of the axe is symmetrical. Made from a medium grained, dark grey-green rock with some ersion, provenanced to Cornwall, petrological Group I.
