Discovery

Photograph album, 4th of 7 volumes belonging to Dr Edward Thomas Wilson (1832 to 1918), inscribed Discovery, containing images from the British Antarctic Expedition (known as the Discovery expedition after the ship), the first of two journeys made by Robert Scott to the Southern Continent. Edward Adrian Wilson (1872 to 1912) was a member of the team, as junior vertebrate zoologist. His father collected photographs documenting the voyage and mounted them in this album.
