- DescriptionA polished stone axehead found in Finlay Road, Gloucester. A narrow blade with signs of polishing, the rest of the axe is pitted and eroded, the sides are convex and the butt is almost as wide as the blade. The axe has an asymmetrical cross-section. The rock is medium grained and very dark grey in colour, source unknown but identified as a microgabbro.
