Two chairs made from mahogany with drop in rush seats, designed by Ernest Gimson and made at Kenton & Co. From a set of six dining chairs which belonged to Gimson's sister, Margaret. They were used at the Gimson family home in New Walk, Leicester. Like others in the Gimson family, Margaret Gimson encouraged her brother's work and in 1908 she commissioned him to design a cottage for her, Rockyfield, in Leicestershire.
