Description
Punch bowl, earthenware painted in underglaze blue by Alfred Powell. The three houses depicted are Daneway House, Owlpen Manor and Rookwoods Farm. Daneway was the site Ernest Gimson's workshop and showrooms between 1902 and 1919. In 1920 it was leased to the printer Emery Walker. Owlpen Manor was bought and restored by Norman Jewson in 1925. Rookwoods Farm was a 17th century house in Tunley, where Powell lived.
