Large wooden comemorative signboard decorated with the Royal Arms. Originally hung in the entrance of the Female Orphan Asylum, Winchcomb Street, Cheltenham, from 1820. Plaque reads: 'This charity was instituted on the 19th of May, 1806, under the patronage of her most gracious Majesty Queen Charlotte, who died 17th November in the year 1818.'
