Letter (1991.1016.109.1a) dated 15th September 1903 to Emery Walker from Dr Furnivall in its original envelope (1991.1016.109.1b). This also contained a letter to Dr Furnivall from Lady Beatrice Osborn (1991.1016.109.2) and four photographs of seals (1991.1016.109.3). Found inserted in the book, A Sanctuary of Printing by Jackson, Holbrook, when acquired by the museum, shelf J10 . Part of the Emery Walker Library.

Letter probably from a Dr Furnivall (see 1991.1016-109.b) to Emery Walker dated 15th September 1903 Letter in an envelope addressed to E. Walker Esq. Walker & Cockerell 16 Cliffords Inn, Fleet St E.C. 15. ix. 1903 Dear Walker Lady Osborn [i] sends me these photos that she has taken of Dorothy’s seals. Can your man make anything better of em! If so, when can you send him down? He’d have to go by the [9] train from Kings X. Would you have time to [take those] 2 pictures 1. [A…] and his daughters. 2 the 4 Evangelists [in] the Library? Will ask to have them taken down in readiness for him. I hope you’ve had a nice holiday. I got 4 weeks in an old farmhouse with [nice] folk on the edge of [Benhall] Green Suffolk & much enjoyed the sandy lanes and heaths & the profusion of honeysuckle. [Sincerely yrs] [JF[ii]] Do you incline to another visit to Chicksands[iii]? They half expected you when I last went. I must go down again soon to look up Henry Osborne’s[iv] papers.
