Descripción
Plaster panel of a seagull designed by George Jack. Jack designed decorative plasterwork from about 1890. The panal was probably cast from one of the original models in Laurence Turner's studio in London, and was made for a chimney breast in the house of Charles Canning Winmill. Winmill wrote of the piece, 'The wings are the most perfect piece of modelling I possess. Jack used during the last war to spend hours on the embankment sketching the gulls.'
