Caryatid, around 1843. One of three original terracotta figures loosely based on statues on the Acropolis in Athens. Made in London by Henry Rossi and brought to Cheltenham by Pearson Thompson. Stood in Montpellier Walk until 1969 when she was removed to be used as a model for several new concrete caryatids needed for an extension to the bank which then occupied part of the 1843 entrance.
