Description
Mother of pearl pendant on a silver chain with cabochon cut chrysoprases designed by C R Ashbee and probably made by the Guild of Handicraft. In Guild of Handicraft case. The pendant is dated by the fact that the case has the Chipping Campden address printed on it, though it could have been made earlier. It demonstrates the elegant simplicity of much of Ashbee’s jewellery design and his preference for stones chosen for their colour and texture.
