Set of fire dogs in polished steel. Designed by Ernest Gimson and probably made at the smithy in Sapperton by Alfred Bucknell or one of his assistants. In 1886 Gimson made a drawing of a carved bench end in the Lady Chapel of Winchester Cathedral which depicted a similar squirrel.
