Description
Rug in two ply woolen pile and flax warp in rasin brown, lime green and natural stripes designed by Marian Pepler and made by the Wilton Royal Carpet Factory Ltd. It was made for Pepler's in-laws, Mr and Mrs Sydney Russell. Wilton Royal produced hand-knotted designer rugs at an economic prize, using a coarse weave known as Wessex hand-tufting. The rugs were made exclusively for Gordon Russell Ltd.
