Shallow dished basket, or mat of circular form, of coiled construction. Red and brown alternating circles from centre with alternating pale red and brown triangles on rim. It is believed to have been made by the native people of Gold Coast (Ghana), although it is Hausa style work. Collection of Capt Robert Powley Wild.
