Description
A rectangular, wooden, prayer board with an extension forming a handle on one short side. The handle is perforated through the upper end which is semi-circular in form. Both sides of the board have traces of Islamic script in ink which are extracts from the Koran. Used by Hausa people, the attached label states that the board comes from Obuasi, Asante Region (Ghana). From the collection of Capt Robert Powley Wild.
