Mounted watercolour painting, with pencil, of an Antarctic landscape depicting a snow covered encampment, with skis and sledges stuck upright in the snow; cross surmounting small hill to right; smoke rising from small chimney at centre right. This hut was originally built and used during the Discovery expedition (1901-1904).
