Wedgwood dinner plate decorated by Alfred Powell with border design. The design was an early design described by Powell writing to his mother, '... a powdering of little violets over cups and saucers ... just five little blobs to each flower leaving the little white centre the two blobs of green for each leaf - the brown stalk being put on first the flower and the leaves all nice and snug.'
