Small note hand-copied from a letter from Rudyard Kipling to SC (probably Sydney Cockerell) re Emery Walker dated 13th July 1933. Found inserted in the book, Wee Willie Winkie, by Kipling, Rudyard, when acquired by the museum, shelf S4 . Part of the Emery Walker Library.

Extract hand-copied from a letter written on 13th July 1933 by Rudyard Kipling to ‘SC’ (possibly Sydney Cockerell). Found in ‘Wee Willie Winkie’ by Kipling. Copy is possibly in Dorothy Walker’s handwriting and the letter to SC was written not long after Emery Walker’s death. Found in Wee Willie Winkie by Rudyard Kipling..

‘Emery Walker is (Praise Allah) a wonderful man and I should think about as much of the pure Artist as is made. I’m rejoiced that his heart is still undefeated!’
