Jar, Greek pottery lekythos found in Rhodes, dated around 500 BC. Black figure design on red background depicting a nude helmeted warrior struggling with a wild boar. The lekythos was a container for oil which the ancient Greeks used to clean themselves by rubbing it on their skin then scraping it off with a metal strigil (scraper).
