Medieval, square block of dressed limestone from Dixton Manor, Gloucestershire, where there was a Norman Chapel, served from the Abbey of Winchcomb. The carving represents the head and upper body of a figure offering a fine Paris Candle of 11th or 12th century date with characteristic tripodial base and twisted stem.
