Private press book, entitled 'The Beginning of The World Twenty-Five Pictures by Edward Burne- Jones'. Printed by the Chiswick Press and published by Longmans, Green & Co, 1902. With a forward by Georgiana Burne-Jones. The designs in the book were originally made for an illustrated edition of John William Mackail's ''Biblia Innocentium'' to be published by the Kelmscott Press containing more than 100 illustrations. The 25 illustrations were completed and reproduced by Robert Catterson Smith. The book relates the story of God's chosen people before the coming Jesus Christ. From the library belonging to Emery Walker.
