First published in 1967 by Blandford Press Ltd, London; has an illustrated dustjacket. Contains 191 pages, with more than 300 drawings and paintings by EAW (with 60 colour pages and 42 monochrome pages), and a photograph, by Herbert Ponting, of EAW standing outside the Hut, during the Terra Nova Expedition. Price 5 gns. The royalties were to be used to fund field-work in polar regions (Wilson memorial grants) and work at SPRI.
