Kell, London E.C. and dated 1879. Hardback edition with grey board cover and brown leatherette spine binding. The front cover has the title and a description of the contents printed in black ink within a classically inspired frame. The description says 'Consisting of measured drawings of large and small gates, screens, grilles, panels, ballustrading, including the great gates and screens from Hampton Court Palace, the ironwork in St. Paul's cathedral, specimens from Westminster Abbey, the great gates at Carshalton and Loughton Hall, and a large number of gates from London and its' suburbs'. The first page is signed 'Richard Ede Marshall 1880', who owned an ironwork business in Cheltenham. 16 plates are listed in the forward but only 15 are present.
