Limestone mortar or basin of the Medieval period; the upper part of the vessel is broken away. Bowl-shaped with two distinct ribs on the outside on opposing sides. Set at ninety degrees to these are two slighter ribs, one of which leads to a spout. From a watching brief at no.19 Ambrose Street, Cheltenham. No archaeological features discovered. Fieldwork carried out by Avon Archaeological Unit, 1999.
