Coin, an Irish halfcrown of James II. The obverse shows a laureate and draped bust facing left, viewed from front. The reverse shows a crown over two sceptres, above is the denomination value, either side is the royal cipher, and, underneath the crown is the minting month in a cursive script.. This is gun money from the Jacobite-Williamite war of 1689-1691.
