- Egyptian model: carved wooden figure of a seated rower, the arms attached with small wooden pins. Painted red and white. Would have been intended to row a model funerary boat, placed in a tomb. Oars are no longer attached. Found in debris of Temple of Mentuhotep II at Deir El Bahri, 11th Dynasty.
