- Egyptian hawk mummy. Encased in a sealed glass box, lying on a piece of linen. A label on the box suggests the hawk may be a merlin. Found at Memphis (referred to on the old catalogue card as Bedrashayn). The old card dates it to 3500 BC - this is obviously inaccurate as the unification didn't occur until c.3100. Probably of a lot later date than this.
