Seven fragments assembled to form two sections from one, or possibly two, bag-shaped crucibles. Grey pottery fabric with signs of vitrification. Possibly used for the melting of copper alloys, and brass in particular as the analysis has shown the presence of zinc. From excavations at Home Farm, Bishops Cleeve (BC94) by the Cotswold Archaeological Trust, April to May 1994.
