Silver hand mirror with enamelled and gilt back designed by C R Ashbee and made by the Guild of Handicraft. Enamelled back painted by William Mark. Peacocks recur in Ashbee's designs, and its appearence on a hand mirror could be seen as a very pointed comment on pride in personal appearence.
