Six silver buttons set with chrysoprases, in their original case designed by C R Ashbee and made by the Guild of Handicraft. Janet Ashbee wears buttons of a similar type in a photograph taken in 1900. In a Guild catalogue of about 1905-6 a set of six buttons with cloisonne enamel decoration in a case cost £3.10s. Each button is slightly different in its basic form, so they appear to have been wrought rather than cast.
