Silver-gilt pendant with enamel and paste in the form of a butterfly with its wings closed made by Child & Child. Much of Child & Child's work appealed to conventionally fashionable taste, but after executing some designs for Edward Burne-Jones an Arts and Crafts influence can be seen in their enamels, like this sinuous butterfly.
