Earthenware cider jar with iron glaze and traces of painted slip decoration made by Ray Finch at Winchcombe Pottery, about 1950. Ray Finch made a number of large cider jars, some in the 1960s being almost a metre high. This example came from one of the last firings of the bottle kiln at the pottery.
