Cabinet of honduras mahogany inlaid with ebony and glazed upper cupboards. George Jack became the chief designer for Morris & Co. around the time this piece was first designed. Several of these cabinets were made. This one was made as a wedding present in 1902 but was probably designed in the 1880s. In a Morris & Co. catalogue of 1912 this design was described as an 'Inlaid Cabinet of highest Sheraton finish' and cost £102.18.0.
