Dresser of English oak designed by Ernest Gimson. The dresser was much loved by Arts and Crafts designers because of its homely associations, and Gimson and the Barnsleys designed many different versions. This dresser came from the kitchen of Gimson's house. A larger black dresser was used in the living room.
