English oak settee made by Eric Sharpe, with separate fabric covered seat. The settee is from Sharpe's house, Thorn, at Martyr Worthy, which was designed for him around 1929 by T Lawrence Dale. The seat cover may be by Alice Hindson, a weaver from the New Forest who often exhibited with Sharpe. She was a draw-loom weaver.
