Walnut armchair with ebony and holly inlay designed and made by Eric Sharpe. This piece was probably intended for Sharpe’s own house and features his monogram in greek characters on the front stretcher. Swan's heads of this type often appear of French early 19th century furniture. Sharpe was interested in symbolism, so they may have a symbolic meaning.
