Set of six dining chairs made from English walnut with drop-in rush seats designed by Fred Gardiner or Harry Davoll after Ernest Gimson, and made by Fred Gardiner. Made to go with a sideboard and table by Davoll, 1986.1383 and 1986.1384, and made as a wedding present for Harry Davoll's daughter Winifred. Fred Gardiner worked for Gimson and Waals before setting up on his own. He later shared a workshop with his son.
