Thrown and turned stoneware vase with incised decoration and a salt glaze partially covered by a green glaze made by the Martin Brothers. From 1885 to 1900 many of the Martin Brothers' designs were derived from Japanese and Renaissence sources. By the 1890s dragons which had originally been used as part of a Renaissence schmen became a decorative motif in themselves.
