Cast and hammered silver mustard pot with cover designed by C R Ashbee and made by the Guild of Handicraft. This is an early piece designed by the Guild and it, or another very similar, appears in a photograph of itemsused in the dining room at Ashbee's mother house in Chelsea. The cast feet are typical of the Guild's early metalwork.
