Proof sheets for the Essex House Song Book printed by the Essex House Press in 1903-5. The songbook was edited by Janet Ashbee. It includes marching songs, comic verses and specially written pieces all used at Guild sing-songs. THey had been collected since the Guild's early days in London's East End and reflected its history, traditions and sense of fellowship. It could be bought as two bound volumes or as individual song sheets. This unbound set consists of the introduction, the ten-part song book and the index. Two sections are missing.
