A carved wooden figurine of a man seated on an Asante style stool. The head is large with a sloping forehead and a European style moustache; the neck with three rolls of fat. The right arm is held so the hand is placed on the man's chest, while the left hand points to the stomach. The abdomen is elongated; with squat legs and small feet complete with European-style shoes. The register states the object is a "juju of cotton wood from near Coomassie" (Kumasi), Asante Region (Ghana). Collection of Capt Robert Powley Wild.
