A single-ended drum with a wooden, waisted body. One end with hide drumskin. Both ends of the drum have a wooden hoop around the circumference of the body, leather strips run between these hoops to tension the drumskins. The register states the object is an Asante drum and stick from Obuasi, Asante Region (Ghana), although there is now no stick. Collection of Capt Robert Powley Wild.
