The steel blade tapers to a small rounded point and has three longitudinal grooves on the blade. The middle groove extends to almost half way down the blade, the two outers terminate higher up with a stamped symbol, possibly of a crescent moon. The wooden scabbard is leather-covered with tooled decoration with copper alloy stregtheners and chape. A leather strap joins the two stregtheners. Collected by Lieut Col Robert L. Beasley DSO between 1901 and 1906.
